Everyone knows damn well that drug dealers and pimps don’t pay taxes to begin with… and that’s cool. It’s just bullshit anyways. Ya see, the Republicans (and the Democrats) have given up on the people in the know, because the people in the know are a minority, and at this point they are inconsequential. The days of pandering to the reality-based constituency are over – at this point we can throw Truth™ out the window (as far as politics are concerned) – and basically, say whatever we want. And we can get away with it because people are ignorant. I’m sorry if that hurts – but wake up and smell the coffee.

People’s opinions have always been tainted by disinformation; but in an age of reality TV, where we live vicariously through others, people have started “outsourcing” their opinion forming. It’s easier to let Limbaugh tell you how to feel about an issue than it is to educate yourself and make an informed opinion. So people will, basically, believe any bullshit you tell them – as long as someone they identify with appears to believe it.

Some folks call it marketing… mmm hmmm (in my best Sling Blade voice) - I call it herd mentality. You find your herd in life and you become assimilated. Whether you are a Star Belly, or an emo, you are part of a herd… and the marketers are the shepherds that guide you to the pastures to graze like sheep, each one sure that it is so unique - but, they are all grazing in the same pasture. And though the different herds of sheep graze in different pastures… they are all led there by the shepherds.

So let’s lay this out. You are the sheep, and the marketers are the shepherds… and that just leaves the masters. The masters employee the shepherds, and own the sheep. And if you don’t think *you* are owned… then you will just have to prove me wrong – go ahead… make my day.

Try and step out of line… they’ll round you up. Keep stepping out of line, and they’ll put you down. This is their land, and you are only here to be fleeced. Had you no wool, you would be called nature… unless you were in the way of their plans, then you’d be called extinct. But you do have wool. You have your life and you will spend your life in labor for your owners. And the shepherds will be there to make sure you are kept in the pasture, putting out for the man.

If this were a novel, then perhaps the NY Times would be foreshadowing a plot when they publish this article about Ali al-Marri, a Qatari student who was arrested in Peoria, Ill., in December 2001. al-Marri is being held without evidence of a crime, other than the tortured confessions of other detainees. If Obama follows the principles of the Constitution, then al-Marri will have his day in court and will be released. That would offer an opportunity to the Evil Doers™.

A false flag operation, that could then be blamed on Obama, the Weak on Terror™ Liberal™, could lead to the same mob mentality that got California to elect the son of a Nazi that bankrupted them. That sort of mentality (if not the terrorist event itself) could lead to implementation of a National Continuity Policy and at that point the Cabal would have full control of the US Government.

The rock, on the ring, on her finger, cost $78,000.

The ring, with the rock, slipped off her finger and fell into the toilet just as she flushed.

She thought the rock was lost.

But - city workers opened a pipe outside the restaurant, and a plumber brought in a tiny video camera, and the ring was found - and with just an hour and a half of jackhammering and pipe removal…

They were able to rescue the rock, on the ring.

This is the story of a community working together, a story of government and private industry working side by side towards a common goal. This is a story about eight hours and seventy-two hundred dollars to rescue a rock, on a ring, that slipped off the finger of someone who felt that a $78,000 rock would be secure on a finger that was, working in a cooperative manner with other fingers, wrapped in paper that was covered with shit.

And I’m sure the same effort would have been applied, and the same fanfare would have accompanied a couple’s $78,000 mortgage being in peril - Because, surely that house is more important than a rock.

And the moral is to never propose to a left-handed girl. Or maybe the better lesson here is that a rock worth $78,000 should not be put on a ring, on a finger of a hand that will wipe an ass. Or, just maybe, the story is a reminder that we live in a world that is so fucked up that it’s not just stupid – it’s Stupid Deluxe™.

The best we can Hope™ for is slow leaks from those who feel safe to speak out now that there’s Change™. Slow leaks will delay justice enough to allow an evacuation of the guilty… just like the bin Laden family got away after 9/11, the Bush family will have its chance to board a private flight to Paraguay to escape justice.

In the English language, they have definitions, and when used in the construction of sentences they mean something… but in this bizarro world they have become trademarks and brands. When Freedom™ is branded to whatever fascist, pseudo-socialist state we have here today - the definition of Freedom™ becomes perverted.

Shakespeare wrote, “That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet” – and freedom (actual freedom) does “smell as sweet”, no matter what the pop culture say. The problem is that Freedom™ has come to represent something completely different from the “rose” for which our forefathers fought. Matter of fact, by branding this fascist society with Freedom™ and Liberty™, we have, by implication, branded the actions and principles of our forefathers with Terrorism™ and Evil.

We are told by the King that “The terrorists hate us because we are free.” Then we are told that we must give up some freedom to remain safe from the terrorists. So, by showing your papers at the checkpoint, you are protecting Freedom™ and Liberty™. To hell with the actual definitions of freedom and liberty, and to hell with the spirit of “give me liberty or give me death” – just let me do my part to protect Freedom™ by submitting to a random anal-cavity search at the airport. Land of the free and the home of the brave, indeed!

America – turn off the TV. Stop the bombardment of propaganda that perverts your reality. Perceive reality without the Fascist Media Filters™ and see the truth. Then speak the truth to others, and the truth shall set us free¹.

I’m sure that Sarah Palin is a loving and devoted mother, doing the best she can to raise her kids in this crazy world. My reference to the youthful indiscretions of her daughter were not meant to be an assault on her values – it was merely to show that Sarah, like the rest of us, is imperfect… and that it would be hypocritical to run around asking for votes so you can stop the rampant teenage pregnancy and drug abuse. I’ll not even touch on the fact that Republicans have never set out a working agenda on Family Values™, nor have they done one damn thing to promote Family Values™ during their 8 year Reign of Righteousness™. I guess poverty does bring a family closer… so maybe they have done a good job.

Now that’s not the sort of disclaimer you will see often. I extend it only because Sarah seems to be a basically honest person, and I have been impressed with (some of) her post-election interviews. There will be no such disclaimer for Limbaugh. I have every right to imply that his supply of Viagra on a trip to a third world haven for child-sex slavery might have been more than coincidence.

And there will be no such disclaimer forthcoming for today’s Family Values Faker™ - Mike Huckabee. I will say though, that I liked Mike.

I really liked Mike Huckabee – soft-spoken, polite, and a good listener, who seemed to be interested in what I had to say. Isn’t that what they say about those serial killers after they dig 40 bodies out of the backyard? I believe it is… and I believe that’s exactly what came out of my mouth when I first heard the shocking story of his son.

David Huckabee was fired from his job as a camp counselor when he hung a stray dog over a tree limb with a rope ’bout the neck, until dead. Mob mentality? It was just him and another kid. Peer pressure? Hmmm… he was the governor’s son… uhh, I don’t think so. Does this mean that David is someone who thrills at the suffering death of another living creature?

I will only say this – look into these eyes and let your intuition be your guide.

Thank God Mike didn’t win. Can you imagine seeing this animal-torturing son of a former President steal an election in 2020? It would be déjà Vue with irony… sort of like every time you fuck your wife. Haha!

But seriously… look at the last animal torturing son of an ex-President that stole an election (or two.) And even that animal-torturing son of an ex-President isn’t as bad as you might expect for an animal torturer (that we know of…) – and the “that we know of” is meant to imply that the son of a President, or the son of the Vice President, or the son of the CIA Director (and Dumbya hits the Trifecta on that one) can’t do anything that can’t be covered up.

So David could have been the second animal torturing son of an ex-President to steal an election (that we know of…). Whewww… we dodged a bullet.
